My week 2 of 2019
Finally the year arrived in which I will start the preparations for my research. At the end of 2018 I had to put everything on paper what I had discussed and what I was thinking about. I hope to hear soon if it was ok. My experience is that writing something down that is in your head, it is more difficult but at the same time you realize things you haven’t thought of before.
What have I done this first week? Well, the first important thing is reading. Reading to get ideas to form my mind so I can be more specific on how to conduct my research.

The first paper I read this week was about the character of Dutch Caribbean Universities from a colleague of mine Dr. Margo Groenewoud. She wrote this paper because she is a historian and our university is turning 40 years old. The name of our university is the University of Curacao, Dr. Moises da Costa Gomez. As you may know, Curacao is part of the Dutch Caribbean.

The second document I am reading is “A Toolkit for Measuring Early Childhood Development in Low- and Middle-Income Countries”. It was published in 2017 by the Worldbank. This is a document more related to my future research. Very interesting.
